Use a Portainer stack to deploy Plekt with Docker Compose. The stack publishes Plekt on port 5056 and stores its database and configuration in /data.

Create the stack

  1. In Portainer, select your Docker environment, then open Stacks → Add stack.
  2. Choose Web editor and enter a name such as plekt.
  3. Paste the contents of the repository’s docker-compose.quickstart.yml.
  4. Add ADMIN_PASSWORD under Environment variables and set it to a strong, private password. Portainer substitutes it for ${ADMIN_PASSWORD} in the Compose file.
  5. Select Deploy the stack.

The quickstart maps host port 5056 to Plekt’s container port 5055 and persists /data in a data directory associated with the stack. Keep that storage when updating or recreating the stack; it contains your database and settings.

Open Plekt

Visit http://<docker-host>:5056, replacing <docker-host> with the address of the machine running Docker. Sign in with username admin and the password you set in Portainer.

Do not publish or share the stack’s environment values.
